We can arrange for individuals / groups to take a bowls holiday at any of the areas mentioned, any time of the year. However, we would usually suggest somewhere like Mojacar or the Algarve where there are matches at clubs most days of the week at which visitors would be welcome but we would recommend that individuals join one of our 'Festivals'. |

Festivals enable individuals / groups to join in bowls matches organised by ourselves both with and / or against local clubs, plus offering an opportunity to see something of the local area. They thus provide fellowship both on and off the greens! We organise festivals each year, usually in the Spring and Autumn - please enquire for dates etc. |

Your tour would be TAILOR MADE to your own requirements as regards bowling (against local clubs) and excursions, based on our knowledge and contacts within the countries, and this is something that would be discussed in detail with you/your club As to where to go, again we would make the suggestions depending on your needs and it could well be SPAIN (Cost del Sol, Costa Blanca or Mojacar) or the ALGARVE, or perhaps even further afield! So perhaps your club is now thinking about taking a tour abroad? But we know that there is a lot to be considered before taking the plunge! So why not talk to us - or indeed one of the clubs for whom we regularly organise tours abroad? Or we can arrange a presentation to your members and answer any questions that they may have. We feel sure, that like so many clubs, once you have been abroad on a tour for the first time, it will be the first of many! |

Mojacar is in the unspoilt Almeria Province of south east Spain and enjoys an enviable year round climate. It is always popular with our clients both as a 'different' holiday destination and for the bowling - the local bowlers make visitors very welcome! Our Bowling Festival Programme here usually provides at least four sessions in a seven day stay, playing at a combination of the three clubs in the area, each with its own grass greens. It is also an ideal venue for a Club Tour to a unique part of Spain, known locally as the 'Corner of Enchantment' - "where the sun spends the winter!" |

Bowling on the Costa Blanca, (Spain's east coast), breaks down into three areas, namely to the north and south of Benidorm, and Benidorm itself. We have access to all the hotels etc. in each of the areas and in 1997 we organised our first tour there encompassing each of the three areas, so we do know our way around! Benidorm itself is an ideal base from which to visit the clubs along the coast and is always popular with winter visitors. |

We have been closely involved in the development of bowls in this ever popular holiday destination. In the east the main grass green is at Vilamoura, which enables us to use a wide range of accommodation in the luxury marina development of Vilamoura itself. To the west cab found grass greens a Lagos and Alvor, (John and Mike were the first visiting bowlers to play on this in November 1995!) and Greengauge greens at Parque de Floresta which enjoys a spectacular setting in the hills. With the choice of bowling available on this picturesque coast we can discuss with you where best to be based and can arrange matches in the other area if required. |

As with the Algarve, we have been involved in the development of bowls on this delightful island for some years and indeed took the first bowling group to Paphos. However, as yet, there are not enough clubs to host a proper tour but it is an ideal destination for a holiday with some bowling. |

Bowls Holidays Limited is run by Mike Bickers together with Lynda and John Bryant. Mike is a regular club bowler (having been badged for Suffolk and Essex), and he deals with the new enquiries and our regular tours as well as accompanying groups (when required) and hosting our Festivals. Lynda runs the office! She uses her ten years of travel agency experience in putting together the travel arrangements which are all made through ABTA / ATOL agents and operators. John has visited almost every green abroad in Europe - there are over forty - and bowled on most of them! Why not put this experience to work for your holiday / club tour? |
